Do you ever walk down the street and think “wow, that outfit is amazing, I want to get some jeans like their's”? Me too. Probably once an hour. From the bounty of desires, admiration, and obsession taking up space in my mind, I have pulled 5 staple items that I cannot get out of my head, and wanted to share with you.

BLACK TRAINERS This is the era of the black trainer. White trainers are fine, black trainers are divine! There’s something elegant about a sleek black trainer. They are understated, not in your face, the opposite of bright. A cross between a loafer and white air force if you may. So I want a pair. Allll black.

1st on my radar: Black Salomons Xt-6

- classic, really like the all black and the silhouette.

- like that they're also practical because practicality is the key to a happy life.

2nd on my radar: All black Onitsuka Tigers

These are the shoes of the moment. You might recognise them for their yellow and black colourways, or silver and white, but I am enjoying this all black rendition. It reminds me both of Jan from Grease and Irish dancing shoes - I've never wanted anything more than to be a dancing Jan.

SIDE BUTTONED CARDIGAN

I saw a photo of this Vivienne Westwood side buttoned cardigan on milliehannah and I have since been obsessed. It is utterly gorgeous and everything that a cardigan should be. It is with great regret that I admit I had no luck finding it online.

I then realised that maybe buttons on the side were my new obsession. This led me down a rabbit hole of double breasted cardigans. Really, any cardigan with a button on the side will do. It's the asymmetric look that does it for me.

GLOSSY PUFFER COAT I'm going to put it out there, I want a Moncler puffer. I do. But alas there is no way I can afford that. So I am putting it on my wishlist in the hope that I come across one in a charity shop for £10. Not going to happen.

Ultimately though, it's all about the gloss not the label. In that spirit, here are some non-Moncler glossy puffers.

OVERSIZED WOOL COAT You may have heard of the oodie? The wearable blanket? Enter the oversized wool coat: the elegant wearable blanket? (probably, you weren’t born yesterday). I have been seeing these around on people and they are just so sleek yet so cosy and can fit so much underneath.

I have been enjoying the classic black:

but I came across this green one that sparked interest. I appreciate the colour and it's still really neutral so would work with anything!

It is also possible to have these oversized coats cropped. I found a version on Arket:

I think that the classic black is my favourite, but I love what people are doing and how different brands are coming up with different oversized wool designs. I would love to get my hands on one!

HAREM PANT STYLE WORK TROUSERS We do - or at least I do - spend a large portion of our lives at work. That means… work clothes, whatever they may be. Here is the pick for the workwear category.

I see some people walking around with this silhouette of work trouser which on the surface to me seems outdated, but deep down I'm intrigued. Is this the answer? Paired with a heeled ankle boot, they exude elegance and grace.

This pair placed with what looks like Clarks Originals is also a great look.

Clearly they're incredibly versatile and I can imagine wearing them every day for work, strolling in feeling perfect. Tapered ankles were out for a while, get them back in! Tapered ankles for the win!
